Woodworkers Challenge

These are the Projects our Members Brought to our Last Meeting

A couple times a year we have a woodworker's challenge to all our members.  Our newest challenge was to make a tape measure holder/dispenser for a sewing measuring tape.  There was no limits or design requirements, so our imagination was our only limit.  It was due at our June, 2018 meeting.  Here are the results.

Lockport Woodworker's

Welcome to the Lockport Woodworkers Web Site

Our membership consists of individuals from the Niagara County area who have an interest in woodworking and woodturning, and a desire to share this interest with others.  The only requirement for membership is a willingness to share your interest and ability in creating useful projects in wood.  Anyone, male or female, with a desire to offer their knowledge or a need to expand their ability is welcome to join us at one of the Club meetings. The Lockport Woodworkers meet at the Dale Association Building at 33 Ontario Street in Lockport, New York.

The meetings are held on the first Tuesday and the second Saturday of each month.  The Tuesday meeting starts at 7 P.M. while the Saturday meeting begins at 1 P.M.  Each meeting is two hours long with a short business meeting followed by a demonstration and a show and tell session where members share and discuss their latest creations in wood.  There is also a 50/50 drawing where one member leaves a little richer than when he came in.

If you have an interest in woodworking we would like to meet you.  Plan to attend a meeting soon.  If you decide to join our club the membership dues are $20.00 per year.
